Prohibited and Restricted Items Policy on Shopee

Sellers are responsible for making sure their items follow all laws and regulations and are allowed to be sold according to Shopee's Policies before listing them on the platform. To help sellers, Shopee has provided a list of items that are not allowed for sale. This list includes prohibited and restricted items, but it’s not complete. Please check regularly for updates.

I. VIOLATION OF OUR TERMS OF SERVICE
Violations of this Prohibited and Restricted Items Policy may subject the Seller to a range of actions, including but not limited to any or all of the following:
Listing deletion
Limits placed on Account privileges
Account suspension and termination
Legal action

II. LIST OF PROHIBITED AND RESTRICTED ITEMS
Animal & animals related products including, without limitation, live animals, wildlife animals, mounted specimen, elephant ivory, tiger tooth amulet or any parts of animals illegal to sell and/or all endangered species provided under the law
Artifacts and antiquities
Used cosmetics
Counterfeit currency and stamps
Credit and debit cards
Currency or credits including, without limitation, digital currency or credits, and stored value cards, unless expressly authorised by Shopee
Drugs
Telecommunication equipment that has not been registered with the Info-communications Media Development Authority of Singapore
Embargoed goods
Firearms, weapons (such as pepper spray, stun guns, etc) and replicas of the same;
Alcohol (unless a valid license has been submitted to, and approved by, Shopee)
Prohibited Food
Government or police related items such as National Coat of Arms/State Crest, Public Seal, badges, insignia or uniforms
Human parts or remains
Lock-picking devices
Lottery tickets
Unregistered / illegal pesticides
Potentially infringing items: items including but not limited to replicas, counterfeit items, and unauthorized copies of a product or item which may be in violation of any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of third parties
Prohibited services: the provision of services that are sexual, illegal in nature, in violation of the Terms of Service or Policies, or are otherwise prohibited at Shopee’s sole discretion
Slot machines
Recalled items
Shares, stock, other securities and stamps
Tobacco or tobacco-related products
Offensive, controversial, obscene, seditious or treasonous materials
Publications, books, films, videos and/or video games that do not comply with applicable laws in the country of sale and/or delivery
Stolen goods
Mislabelled goods
Controlled Goods - All Controlled Goods permitted for sale are required to bear a Safety Mark in accordance to the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Registration Scheme (CPS)
Potentially explosive, flammable and/or hazardous chemicals, including all types of fireworks & firecrackers
Children’s toys that pose, or that contain components that pose, ingestion hazards and/or that may potentially result in injuries (including, but not limited to, water beads, small magnetic toys and/or button batteries)
If you see a listing that violates our policies, please report it to Shopee by clicking the “Report this Product” or “Report this User” button from the dropdown menu in the product or the user page. When a policy violation occurs, they will send an email, system message and push notification to Seller to let them know that the listing has been removed from Shopee Platform. They will also send a push notification to Buyer.
